As a child, Boradin Thunderforge was taught the values of his clan and the prestige of being a member of such an important part of the dwarven society he lived in. But only 26 years into his youth, everything he knew was destroyed as the city he lived suffered an orc attack and everyone he knew was killed or imprisoned. Boradin hid inside the mines and was able to dig his way out unharmed, but the first time he stepped on the surface he was completely alone.
During his distressed dreams after the incident, he saw the image of a platinum dragon reaching to him. After that, every night during a hundred years of wandering he dreamt of the dragon getting closer, until he found a temple with a statue of Bahamut, the dragon-god of justice. Boradin is adamant that Bahamut chose him and saved his life for He is merciful and kind, and now Boradin walks on the surface making the best of the second life his God gave him.
